With yellow maize following same trend on prices, profitability for intensive livestock (feed cost being highest cost of all) farmers will continue to have squeezed margins for start, with products price increase expected to be passed to end consumers. Positive side in that it's not a permanent challenge with expectations of the upcoming harvest to balance the situation.

I agree with you, current policy should be maintained and allow exports. It would be ideal to solve the short term problem with solution that would negatively impact us in the long run, unless we are in crisis, which is not the case currently.
